Mark Connors - News

Mark Connors - author and poet

Ilkley Literature Festival's Open Mic winner for 2014 and 2015!

"Watching Mark's onstage performance is a bit like eating a particularly good trifle; it's made up of multiple levels, some of which you weren't expecting, and you don't really want it to end. A deserving Ilkley slam winner if I ever saw one."
Geneviève L. Walsh

"Mark Connors writes poems as straightforward and surprising as his hometown of Leeds. Imposing solidity gives way to curious alleys and unexpected sights, as the lines between public and private, past and present, blur. And through it all runs the bustle of life as it is lived, in all its immediacy."
Oz Hardwick
